About Micky Dolenz
George Michael Dolenz Jr. ( DOH-lənz; born March 8, 1945) is an American musician, singer, and actor. He was one of two primary vocalists for musical producer Don Kirshner's prefabricated Beatles-style pop rock band the Monkees (1966–1970, as well as for reunions until 2021), and a co-star of the Emmy-winning TV sitcom The Monkees (1966–1968). (Although spuriously billed as the drummer, he sang lead vocals on a majority of the Monkees studio recordings and only developed drumming skills after the Monkees' second LP.)
