Online Metronome

120BPM

A metronome produces a steady, regular beat to help you keep time while practicing guitar. Set your tempo (BPM), pick a time signature, and play along to build a solid sense of rhythm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a metronome used for?

A metronome keeps a consistent tempo so you can practice playing in time. It is especially useful for building speed gradually and locking in tricky strumming or picking patterns.

What BPM should I practice at?

Start slow enough that you can play a passage without mistakes, then increase the BPM in small steps (5-10 BPM) once it feels comfortable.

How does tap tempo work?

Click the Tap Tempo button in rhythm with the beat you want, at least a few times in a row. The metronome calculates your BPM from the time between taps.

Why don't I hear any sound when I press Start?

Browsers only allow audio to play after you interact with the page, so make sure you actually tap the Start button yourself. Also double-check your device isn't on silent/mute and the volume is turned up.
