Intro
Verse 1
Jump Into The Car, Shift It Into Drive
Open Up The Sunroof, Get The Wind Inside
Got Nothing Planned Today, So Let's See Where The Roads Can Go
Leaving Home Behind For Destination I Don't Know
The Sun Is Beating Down As The Trees Just Fly On By
We Could End Up Anywhere, And With That, I Am Fine
See The Locals Outside Cafes, Mixing Coffees With Their Smokes
Telling Stories Of Their Busy Weeks, Laughing At Their Own Jokes
Pre-Chorus
Reach A Fork In The Road Unsure Which Way To Go
I'll Take The Left And Drive Ahead, Enjoy The Weather's Flow
Chorus
Sick Of Taking The Easy Route, So I'll Go The Long Way Round
Checking Out The Views As I'm Driving Unknown-Bound
The Trees Provide Us Shelter As The Weather Leads The Way
Don't Care Where I'll End Up Cause With You Is Where I'll Stay
We're Taking The Long Way Round Today
Taking The Long Way Round Today, Today
Long Way Round Today
Verse 3
Stop Off At The Servo, Fill Up Our Supplies
Road Trip Filled With Caffeine, And Sugar To Make Us High
Swapping Dj Duties As The Rubber Moves Us On
The Bush Provides Us Scenery And The Birds Sing Us Their Songs

Bridge
Stopping Off For Coffee, Some Bloke Checks Out Our Ride
Then He's Walking Over To Me Bravado In His Stride
"Hey Mate, You Thinking Of Selling?" He Asks With A Cheeky Grin
"Hell Nah Mate" Is All I Say Before I Jump Back In
Chorus
Sick Of Taking The Easy Route So I'll Go The Long Way Round
Checking Out The Views As I'm Driving Unbound
The Trees Provide Us Shelter As The Weather Leads The Way
Don't Care Where I'll End Up Cause With You Is Where I'll Stay
We're Taking The Long Way Round Today
Sick Of Taking The Easy Route, So I'll Go The Long Way Round
Checking Out The Views As I'm Driving Unknown-Bound
The Trees Provide Us Shelter As The Weather Leads The Way
Don't Care Where I'll End Up Cause With You Is Where I'll Stay
We're Taking The Long Way Round Today
